Realizado pelo Governo do Ceará, por meio da Secretaria da Cultura (Secult), o evento acontece gratuitamente de 4 a 13 de abril de 2025, no Centro de Eventos do Ceará

 

A XV Bienal Internacional do Livro do Ceará foi lançada oficialmente nesta quinta-feira (6), na Biblioteca Pública Estadual do Ceará (Bece), marcando o início da contagem regressiva para o evento, que será realizado gratuitamente de 4 a 13 de abril de 2025, no Centro de Eventos do Ceará, em Fortaleza. Com o tema “Das fogueiras ao fogo das palavras: mulheres, resistência e literatura”, a Bienal é uma iniciativa do Governo do Estado do Ceará, por meio da Secretaria da Cultura (Secult), em parceria com o Instituto Dragão do Mar (IDM) e apoio do Ministério da Cultura, via Lei Rouanet de Incentivo à Cultura. O evento tem como patrocinadores a Rede Itaú, Cagece e Cegás.

A Bienal Internacional do Livro do Ceará 2025 contará, nesta edição, com uma curadoria inteiramente feminina, formada pelas escritoras Sarah Diva Ipiranga, nina rizzi, Amara Moira e Trudruá Dorrico, sob a coordenação geral de Maura Isidório, orientadora da Célula de Livro, Leitura e Literatura (Celiv) e coordenadora de Formação, Livro e Leitura (CCFOL) da Secretaria da Cultura. Durante o lançamento, a secretária da Cultura do Estado do Ceará, Luísa Cela, também esteve presente, destacando o papel da Bienal dentro das diversas políticas públicas estruturantes de estímulo ao livro e à leitura promovidas pela Secretaria. Durante o evento, foram apresentados o conceito e a identidade visual da Bienal, bem como as autoras e os autores já confirmados no evento, além do time de curadoras e de coordenadores de espaços a serem montados no evento.

Um dos pilares da política cultural do Estado, a Bienal Internacional do Livro do Ceará oferecerá, ao longo de dez dias de programação gratuita, uma ampla diversidade de atrações literárias e artísticas. O público poderá participar de palestras, mesas-redondas, conferências, oficinas, contações de histórias, lançamentos de livros e outros eventos literários, além de prestigiar apresentações de artistas com reconhecimento no Ceará, no Brasil e no mundo.

A Bienal será, além de um espaço de apreciação cultural, um ambiente dedicado ao fortalecimento de políticas voltadas para o livro, a leitura, a literatura e as bibliotecas. O evento promoverá momentos de diálogo, reunindo a sociedade e entidades do setor para debater propostas e compartilhar perspectivas.

Garantir o acesso ao livro e à leitura também é um dos pilares da Bienal. Para isso, haverá uma ampla mobilização das secretarias de Educação estadual e municipais, bem como de escolas particulares, para incentivar a participação de estudantes de todo o estado no evento.

A última Bienal, em novembro de 2022, atraiu mais de 400 mil visitantes ao longo de 10 dias, com uma programação que incluiu mais de 700 atividades culturais e alcançou um volume de vendas de R$ 11,4 milhões.

“A Bienal do Livro é um dos eventos mais importantes para a cultura do nosso estado, pois fortalece o acesso à leitura, valoriza a literatura e amplia o diálogo entre escritores e leitores. Mais do que um espaço de encontro com os livros, a Bienal é um ambiente de troca, aprendizado e construção coletiva, essencial para formar cidadãos mais críticos, criativos e conectados com a diversidade cultural do Ceará e do mundo”, diz Luísa Cela, secretária da Cultura do Ceará.
