A 27ª edição da Bienal Internacional do Livro de São Paulo recebeu, nesta sexta-feira (6), um importante momento para a cultura nordestina: a abertura da quarta edição do Espaço Cordel e Repente no evento. O ambiente, dedicado a promover e valorizar as diversas manifestações artísticas da região, promete movimentar a maior feira literária da América Latina com uma programação rica e diversificada.
A cerimônia foi marcada pela entrega do Troféu “Gente da Gente”, que homenageia personalidades que contribuem para a disseminação da leitura e da cultura. Entre os agraciados estiveram personalidades como a governadora do Rio Grande do Norte, Fátima Bezerra; e Lucinda Marques, CEO da Editora Imeph e curadora do espaço, dos ex-presidentes da Câmara Brasileira do Livro (CBL), como Alfredo Weiszflog, Rosely Boschini, Karine Pansa, Luís Antonio Torelli e Vitor Tavares, além de Sevani Matos, atual presidente da CBL, e da Família Cortez.
O dia foi marcado por uma intensa programação, com lançamentos de livros, palestras, contação de histórias, declamações, shows e outras atividades lúdicas e culturais. A agenda se estenderá por todos os dias da Bienal, celebrando a forte tradição literária e musical do Nordeste.
O Espaço Cordel e Repente contará com a presença de mais de 160 profissionais, 15 editoras e 5 mil títulos de obras nordestinas, com o objetivo de movimentar economicamente cerca de R$ 1 milhão de reais, reforçando a importante presença do ambiente como uma referência para a cultura e geração de emprego e renda.
“É fundamental que tenhamos um projeto representativo que abrace a cultura do povo nordestino e a leve para todo o Brasil. O Cordel e Repente são manifestações artísticas que fazem parte da nossa identidade e que precisam ser valorizadas e divulgadas. É com muita alegria que marcamos presença pela quarta vez consecutiva na Bienal Internacional de São Paulo, onde ajudamos a transformar este espaço em um lugar de encontro, de troca de experiências e de celebração da nossa cultura”, destaca Lucinda Marques, curadora do Espaço Cordel e Repente.
Neste ano, o espaço homenageia também o Rei do Baião, Luiz Gonzaga, com uma programação especial que celebra a vida e obra do artista. Todas as atrações acontecem na carreta literária, que veio do Ceará para São Paulo, levando consigo a história e a cultura do Nordeste.
