Pautado na sustentabilidade, o Sindicato das Indústrias Metalúrgicas, Mecânicas e de Material Elétrico no Estado do Ceará – SIMEC/CE, lançará dia 30 de janeiro às 19h, a exposição “SIMEC 50 anos”, com peças feitas de sucata de ferro. O responsável pela criação é o escultor cearense Edismar Arruda, que possui diversas esculturas espalhadas pelo Brasil e surpreende com originalidade e talento. A mostra é aberta ao público, totalmente gratuita e segue até 17 de fevereiro no horário das 9h às 18h.
Com mais de 300 peças fabricadas (elefante, girafa, leão, peixe, cavalo, entre outras peças), Edismar faz parte de um grupo cada vez maior de escultores preocupados com um gênero de movimento artístico denominado Recuperation Art, que utiliza a sucata originária dos bens de consumo para criar suas obras e justamente por esse motivo, foi escolhido pelo SIMEC para ter suas obras na exposição “50 anos SIMEC”, pois além do escultor ser um associado, trabalha com a mesma matéria-prima e com os processos realizados pelas empresas associadas ao sindicato.
“O trabalho que Edismar desenvolve, além de toda matéria-prima ser relacionada ao nosso sindicato, tem a questão ambiental devido à reciclagem. Uma maneira de valorizar e também de conscientizar de que é possível transformar em algo novo o que parecia velho. O escultor veio de uma família humilde do interior do estado e tem um dom grandioso, pois é impressionante tudo que ele faz” – destaca Sampaio Filho, presidente do SIMEC.
Antes o artista trabalhava como soldador e produzia as peças apenas para complementar a renda. As esculturas são inspiradas na infância do escultor e ganham destaque pelo tamanho real dos animais retratados e são hoje sua principal fonte de sustento.
“Num certo domingo estava sem fazer nada, então, decidi ir até a metalúrgica e fiz uma moto pop. Como não gostei, deixei de lado. Na segunda-feira, um cliente a viu, achou muito bonita e me disse que ali era uma arte e que eu pesquisasse. Dei continuidade e, desde então, já recebi pedidos de todos os estados do Brasil e no exterior, como Estados Unidos e Suíça. São peças que produzo com calma para que fiquem bem-feitas” – explica Edismar.
Dependendo da escultura, o processo de criação é demorado, podendo chegar a três meses. Edismar costuma imprimir as imagens que vai esculpir, mede e depois desenha no chão. Em seguida, faz um contorno com ferro e vergalhão, estrutura que possa sustentar as duas toneladas. Cerca de 90% do seu trabalho é com sucatas de peças automotivas, mas também utiliza restos de construção e outros materiais de ferro.
Edismar sempre procura se aperfeiçoar com cursos ofertados pelo SIMEC e se sente muito grato pela oportunidade de mostrar ainda mais seu trabalho e talento. “Só tenho a agradecer, primeiramente a Deus e depois de poder participar com uma exposição de minhas obras para os 50 anos do SIMEC. Também frisar que é de extrema importância essa divulgação para meu trabalho” – conclui.
Como forma de trazer uma programação cultural, a entidade realizará também o lançamento de um livro com o registro histórico da trajetória dos 50 anos do sindicato.
