Fortaleza celebra Dia Mundial do Turismo com evento gratuito e aberto ao público

Com o tema “Turismo e Paz”, evento promove debates sobre o papel transformador do turismo na construção de um futuro mais sustentável e inclusivo.
Fortaleza se prepara para sediar a celebração do Dia Mundial do Turismo 2024 e o Dia do Turismólogo, que acontece no próximo dia 25 de setembro, das 8h30 às 12h, no Auditório do SEBRAE Ceará, localizado na Av. Monsenhor Tabosa nº 777. Com o tema “Turismo e Paz”, o evento, promovido pela Associação Brasileira de Turismólogos e Profissionais do Turismo Seccional Ceará (ABBTUR) em parceria com a Amorim Eventos, é gratuito e aberto ao público, e visa discutir como o turismo pode ser um fator decisivo na promoção da paz, da reconciliação e do desenvolvimento sustentável.
A abertura do evento ficará a cargo da cantora Debora Lee, ex-vocalista de renomadas bandas de forró como Zanzibar, Catuaba com Amendoim e Cavalo de Pau, que agora segue em carreira solo. Com sua simpatia e talento, Débora promete encantar o público presente e dar um tom especial ao início das celebrações, combinando sua voz vibrante com a temática do evento, reforçando o papel da cultura e da arte na promoção da paz e na construção de pontes entre diferentes povos e tradições.
A programação incluirá painéis, apresentações culturais e exposições que abordarão a convergência entre turismo e paz, destacando como viagens, intercâmbios culturais e práticas sustentáveis podem contribuir para a resolução de conflitos e para o fortalecimento de laços entre nações e culturas. Entre os palestrantes confirmados estão Daiana Macuxi, que apresentará o painel “Turismo como Ferramenta de Paz e Preservação Cultural: A Visão Indígena”, Marcelo Uchôa, que discutirá “Turismo, Paz e Direitos Humanos: A Preservação da Memória como Pilar da Justiça Social”, e Martír Silva, com o tema “Afroturismo, Direitos Humanos e Igualdade Racial: Caminhos para a Paz.”
Outro destaque da programação será a cerimônia de entrega do troféu Patativa, concedido pela ABBTUR desde 2003 para personalidades e entidades que têm contribuído significativamente para o desenvolvimento do turismo no Ceará. Os troféus são criados pela artesã Avany Oliveira em vidro e preenchidos com areias coloridas das falésias de Beberibe, simbolizando a rica cultura e a beleza natural da região.
Sílvia Guimarães, presidente da ABBTUR Ceará, destacou a importância do evento para consolidar Fortaleza como um dos principais destinos turísticos do Brasil. “O Dia Mundial do Turismo 2024 é uma oportunidade única para a comunidade de Fortaleza se reunir, compartilhar conhecimento e promover discussões fundamentais sobre o futuro do setor. Fortaleza tem experimentado um crescimento expressivo, especialmente como hub aéreo, recebendo cerca de 440 mil turistas apenas em julho deste ano, um aumento de 10,9% em relação ao mesmo período do ano anterior,” afirma Silvia, citando dados da Secretaria de Turismo do Ceará.
Ela ainda acrescenta, conforme os dados do Ipece, que “O turismo no Ceará registrou o maior crescimento no índice de atividades turísticas do Brasil em janeiro de 2024, com um aumento de 11,9%, superando o desempenho nacional, que teve uma queda de 0,8% no mesmo período. Em abril, o Ceará novamente alcançou o melhor resultado do país, com um crescimento de 6,8% nas atividades turísticas, muito acima da média nacional de 2,3%. Esses dados refletem a força do nosso estado como um destino turístico dinâmico e em crescimento constante. Além disso, o impacto econômico do turismo no estado é significativo. Em julho de 2023, a receita direta do turismo no Ceará alcançou aproximadamente R$ 1 bilhão, um aumento de 14% em relação ao mesmo mês de 2022. O setor também é responsável pela geração de cerca de 120 mil empregos diretos e indiretos, demonstrando seu papel essencial na economia local e na valorização da diversidade e identidade cultural do Ceará,” conclui Sílvia.
O evento é uma iniciativa da ABBTUR, com correalização da Amorim Eventos, e conta com o apoio do SEBRAE, Visite Ceará, ABEOC, SINDEVENTOS e UNI7.
