Jovem escritora de Pentecoste lança livro durante a Bienal
No Brasil, 51% das crianças abusadas sexualmente tem de 1 a 5 anos, segundo dados do Boletim divulgado pelo Ministério da Saúde. Com o intuito de prevenir e combater o abuso sexual infantil, a jovem escritora de Pentecoste (CE), Mônica Mota, 22, lança o livro “Tom, Elis e Chico” no próximo dia 21, às 16h, durante a Bienal Internacional do Livro, no Centro de Eventos do Ceará.
Lançada pela editora Brasil Tropical, a obra narra a história de três macaquinhos irmãos que, após sofrerem abuso sexual, perdem toda a magia e a alegria da infância. Vítima de abuso sexual na infância, Mônica Mota usa a publicação para alertar a respeito da temática aos pais, crianças e educadores. A jovem é conhecida por ser a idealizadora da campanha “Todo Dia é 18 de maio” que tem como objetivo combater o abuso sexual infantil, além de já ter realizado ações em sua cidade que colocam em pauta o tema e mobilizam a sociedade.
“A publicação visa sensibilizar, mobilizar e conscientizar sobre essa causa. Desde 2014, me dedico a desenvolver ações que possam a ajudar a combater e prevenir o abuso sexual infantil”, explica a autora.
A história conta com as ilustrações da designer Lia Britto que usa em seus desenhos cores primárias e traços leves para atrair a atenção e compreensão das crianças. A publicação é destinada para crianças de 4 a 10 anos e está disponível para venda na Livraria Benfica (Shopping Benfica – Av. Carapinima, 2200 – Loja 06) pelo valor de 36 reais.
Mônica Mota
Mônica Mota é natural de Pentecoste, interior do Ceará, da comunidade rural chamada Miguá -Terra. Vítima de abuso sexual na infância, vem se destacando por sua superação e por desenvolver ações que combater esse tipo de crime. A jovem de 22 anos promoveu a primeira audiência pública sobre o abuso sexual infantil e a primeira corrida de rua em Pentecoste para alertar acerca do tema, além de ministrar palestras para adolescentes, pais, professores e universitários sobre o temática.
