A XV Bienal Internacional do Livro do Ceará tem início nesta sexta-feira, 4 de abril, no Centro de Eventos do Ceará, com entrada gratuita. O evento, que celebra a literatura como ferramenta de emancipação e protagonismo feminino, contará com a presença do Governador do Ceará, Elmano de Freitas, da Secretária da Cultura do Ceará, Luisa Cela, e outras autoridades.

As atividades do dia incluem, a partir das 14h, a abertura da Feira de Livro. Às 18h, no Foyer Pavilhão Térreo – Oeste, ocorrerá o desfile “Iracemas: Mulheres à beira-luz”, dentro da programação Literatura e Moda. Às 18h30, a Praça do Cordel será palco de uma homenagem aos poetas Arievaldo Viana e Lucas Evangelista, conduzida por Arlene Holanda, Daniel Yehudi e Klévisson Viana, seguida de um cortejo com cordelistas, cantadores e a quadrilha Arraiá do Zé Testinha.

A solenidade de abertura inicia às 19h30 com a apresentação “NHEENGARI SAMBOKAR (CANTO LIVRE)” da Escola Indígena Jenipapo-Kanindé (Aquiraz). Em seguida, às 20h, acontece “XIRÊ YABÁ – NOSSAS MÃES ANCESTRAIS”, apresentado pelo Grupo Afro Alagbará e pelo Ilé Axé Yeye Omin Iyó. Encerrando a noite, às 21h, a Arena Henriqueta Galeno, localizada no Pavilhão Térreo – Oeste, receberá o show “Também Guardamos Pedras Aqui”, de Luiza Romão.

Neste ano, a Bienal conta com 188 estandes destinados à exposição e venda de livros, com representações internacionais e institucionais. Ao todo, 34 editoras participarão diretamente, enquanto 400 editoras estarão representadas por 25 livrarias e 32 distribuidores de livros. O evento disponibilizará mais de 100 mil títulos, somando mais de 200 toneladas de livros ao público visitante.

Com o tema “Das fogueiras ao fogo das palavras: mulheres, resistência e literatura”, a Bienal tem curadoria composta exclusivamente por mulheres: Sarah Diva Ipiranga, nina rizzi, Amara Moira e Trudruá Dorrico, sob a coordenação geral de Maura Isidório.

Ao longo de dez dias de programação gratuita, os visitantes poderão participar de palestras, mesas-redondas, conferências, oficinas, contações de histórias, lançamentos de livros e outras atividades literárias, além de prestigiar apresentações artísticas de relevância local, nacional e internacional.

A Bienal é uma realização do Ministério da Cultura (MinC) e do Governo do Ceará, por meio da Secretaria da Cultura (Secult), em parceria com o Instituto Dragão do Mar (IDM), via Lei Rouanet de Incentivo à Cultura. O evento conta com o patrocínio do Banco do Nordeste, Rede Itaú, Cagece e Cegás.
