O Centro de Medicina Veterinária da Unifametro firmou uma parceria com a Companhia de Buscas, Resgate e Salvamento com Cães (CBRESC), do Corpo de Bombeiros Militar do Estado do Ceará (CBMCE). A iniciativa busca cadastrar os cães de serviço da unidade como doadores de sangue para os pacientes do Centro Veterinário. A parceria ainda conta com a disponibilização dos serviços veterinários da instituição aos 18 cães do plantel.
’’Acreditamos que essa parceria irá salvar diversas vidas de animais que vêm até ao nosso Centro de Medicina Veterinária. Esperamos que seja uma parceria longeva’’, comenta Alison Silveira, coordenador do curso de Medicina Veterinária da Unifametro.
Para o coronel comandante-geral do Corpo de Bombeiros Militar do Estado do Ceará (CBMCE), Ronaldo Roque de Araújo, a parceria vem para fortalecer as diretrizes que compõem a corporação. ’’Nosso trabalho social vai além do quartel. Queremos levar isso para outros locais, e temos aqui nossos grandes companheiros de luta, nossos cães, para ajudar nessa missão”, ressalta Ronaldo.
A CBRESC fica localizada na Academia de Bombeiro Militar (ABM) no bairro Prefeito José Walter, onde trabalham 15 bombeiros, sendo todos especialistas em Cinotecnia, além de 18 cães em treinamento contínuo. Dois dos cães da companhia são certificados pelo Comitê Nacional de Busca, Resgate e Salvamento com Cães (Conabresc/Ligabom).
