Destinado às adolescentes de 10 a 19 anos que atendem aos critérios estabelecidos pelas equipes de saúde, o método contribui para a prevenção da gravidez na adolescência. Ele é recomendado para essa faixa etária por sua eficácia, segurança e praticidade, já que não exige administração diária.
De acordo com Léa Dias, assessora técnica da Saúde da Mulher, o implante subdérmico está entre os métodos contraceptivos mais seguros disponíveis. “O Implanon permanece no organismo liberando hormônio continuamente por três anos, proporcionando uma contracepção confiável, especialmente para adolescentes. Vale destacar que nenhum plano de saúde cobre esse método. Trata-se de uma iniciativa exclusiva da Prefeitura Municipal de Fortaleza para a prevenção da gravidez na adolescência”, explica.
Nayara Kethely, uma das adolescentes atendidas pela iniciativa e que foi mãe pela primeira vez aos 16 anos, destaca a importância do acesso ao método. “Acho muito bom que a Prefeitura esteja oferecendo essa opção para as mais jovens. Muitas meninas não querem ser mães tão cedo, e isso ajuda a evitar uma gravidez indesejada”, afirma.
A ginecologista da Rede Municipal de Saúde, Luciane Bessa, explica as vantagens do implante subdérmico. “Ele não depende da rotina da paciente, como ocorre com outros métodos. Não há risco de esquecimento, deslocamento ou interferência por episódios de vômito ou diarreia. O implante permanece no organismo liberando hormônio continuamente por três anos, garantindo uma contracepção eficaz”, destaca.
A iniciativa busca ampliar o acesso a informações e métodos contraceptivos, promovendo maior autonomia e segurança na tomada de decisões sobre a saúde reprodutiva. Até o momento, 621 adolescentes já foram beneficiadas pelo programa.
