Contemplado no VII Edital das Artes da Secretária de Cultura de Fortaleza (Secultfor), o infanto-juvenil “Histórias de Heróis Negros” inicia, a partir do dia 02 de agosto, uma breve temporada gratuita de apresentações em cinco escolas do Grande Bom Jardim (Jardim, Canindezinho, Granja Portugal, Siqueira) e em um projeto de saúde mental comunitária da região.
O espetáculo é encenado pelo ator Edivaldo Batista e o bailarino e percussionista John Morais, que contam e encenam um dos Mitos do Livro “O Herói com Rosto Africano – Mitos da África, de Clyde. W. Ford. A obra traz a trajetória do herói mitológico do povo de Ambundos, Sudika- Mbembe, e suas aventuras na busca de resgatar seu povo.
Além das oito apresentações, a circulação ainda inclui a realização de oito oficinas de Técnicas de Narração (contação de histórias) voltada para professores, gestores e comunidade. Cada escola receberá duas apresentações, uma em cada turno (manhã e tarde), e no dia seguinte mais duas oficinas formativas também da mesma forma. A expectativa é envolver cerca de mil estudantes e oitenta docentes com esse processo.
