Celebrando os 81 anos do arquiteto, urbanista e compositor Fausto Nilo, completados em 2025, o livro tem foco na poética musical de dez letras de músicas de sua autoria em parceria com outros artistas. As músicas selecionadas são “Chorando e Cantando”, “Eu também quero Beijar”, “Zanzibar”, “Retrovisor”, “Você se Lembra”, “Chão da Praça”, “Pedras que Cantam” “Barco de Cristal”, “Meninas do Brasil” e “Pão e Poesia”.
O primeiro capítulo do livro aborda de forma sucinta a trajetória de Fausto Nilo desde a infância, em Quixeramobim, onde despertou o interesse pelo desenho, a música e o cinema. Depois foi morar em Fortaleza, onde estudou arquitetura na Universidade Federal do Ceará e fez parte da geração de artistas e intelectuais conhecida como Pessoal do Ceará. Em Brasília, desenvolveu a primeira parceria musical com Fagner, e depois colaborou com nomes consagrados da música brasileira como Moraes Moreira, Geraldo Azevedo, Armandinho Macedo, Pepeu Gomes, Chico Buarque, Fagner, Belchior, Rodger Rogério e muitos outros.
Em seguida, cada poética musical é explorada em uma escrita que mistura informações jornalísticas sobre as composições, ponto de vista interpretativo e referências biográficas do letrista.
