Espaço Cultural Arandu recebe a exposição fotográfica “Pau de Arara: Fotografia e Vivências – Ir perto para ver longe”

O Espaço Cultural Arandu, em Caucaia, equipamento mantido pelo Instituto Myra Eliane, recebe no dia 24 de julho, às 15h, a exposição “Pau de Arara: Fotografia e Vivências – Ir perto para ver longe”, realizada em parceria com a Universidade de Fortaleza (Unifor). A abertura será exclusiva para convidados, e a mostra segue com visitação gratuita até o dia 29 de agosto, aberta ao público.

A exposição apresenta 29 fotografias produzidas por professores e estudantes dos cursos de Comunicação Social da Unifor durante uma imersão cultural nas cidades de Nova Olinda e Juazeiro do Norte, em 2023. Os registros revelam aspectos marcantes da cultura nordestina que pulsa no Cariri cearense, retratando costumes, tradições populares, modos de vida e paisagens que evidenciam a força das raízes regionais.

Com curadoria dos professores Adriana Helena Santos Moreira da Silva, doutora em Ciências da Cultura e vice-reitora de Extensão e Comunidade Universitária da Unifor, e Jari Vieira, mestre em Arquitetura e Urbanismo e especialista em fotografia, a mostra integra o projeto de extensão Pau de Arara. A iniciativa propõe experiências imersivas em cidades do Ceará, com foco na fotografia como ferramenta de pesquisa e valorização da cultura local.

“A exposição ‘Pau de Arara’ reflete nosso compromisso de levar ao Espaço Cultural Arandu ações que fomentem a arte, a cultura e o pertencimento. É gratificante proporcionar à população de Caucaia o acesso a iniciativas que valorizam a identidade nordestina, especialmente por meio do olhar de jovens talentos e educadores”, afirma Igor Queiroz Barroso, presidente do Instituto Myra Eliane.

A professora Adriana Helena destaca que a exposição é um convite à sensibilidade e à escuta cultural. “As imagens representam vivências que dialogam com a memória, os afetos e os territórios. Cada registro fotográfico carrega uma história que transcende a imagem e se transforma em uma narrativa viva sobre quem somos como povo”, afirma.

Já o professor Jari Vieira ressalta a importância da vivência fotográfica como prática formativa: “O projeto Pau de Arara aproxima os estudantes de realidades diversas, proporcionando uma imersão que amplia o repertório técnico, estético e humano. As fotografias expostas traduzem esse olhar curioso e respeitoso sobre o Cariri e sua gente”, explica.

A exposição pode ser visitada de segunda a sexta-feira, durante o horário de funcionamento do Espaço Cultural Arandu, das 7h30 às 16h30. A entrada é gratuita. Escolas e grupos com, no mínimo, 10 pessoas podem agendar visitas guiadas enviando e-mail para arandu@myraeliane.org ou entrando em contato pelo telefone (85) 3493.5696 (ramal 3).
