A Fonoaudióloga Adriana Araújo, referência em Fonoaudiologia Educacional, foi a profissional escolhida para representar o Ceará na série “Fonos do Nordeste”, uma produção especial do CREFONO8 (Conselho Regional de Fonoaudiologia da 8ª Região), que narra histórias inspiradoras de profissionais da área que atuam no Ceará, Piauí, Maranhão e Rio Grande do Norte.
Gravado em Jijoca de Jericoacoara, o episódio traz à tona uma história marcada por superação, maternidade atípica, inovação profissional e entrega social. Lançado em dezembro de 2024, o vídeo segue ganhando destaque em 2025 por sua força simbólica e educativa, reforçando a importância da inclusão escolar, do papel da Fonoaudiologia Educacional e da comunicação como um direito humano essencial para a participação plena na sociedade.
“Me senti reconhecida, emocionada e homenageada em vida, por aquilo que realmente fiz e faço, por amor à causa da inclusão de pessoas neurodivergentes, desde que busquei esta formação para cuidar da minha própria família totalmente atípica”, afirma Adriana, que é mãe de três filhos com diagnóstico de dislexia e autismo.
A história da Dra. Adriana também reflete seu ativismo de longa data. Diretora do SindFonoCE há quase 12 anos, ela é fundadora de programas e redes colaborativas que unem profissionais, estudantes e instituições em prol da valorização das categorias da saúde e da educação. Além disso, Adriana atua como Fonoaudióloga na APAE de Jijoca e Sobral, é CEO da RV Colaborativa, Conselheira do Fortur Ceará e Presidente do Cidadania 23 em Jericoacoara.
CAA como ferramenta de transformação social
Especialista em Fonoaudiologia Educacional com título reconhecido pelo Conselho Federal de Fonoaudiologia, Adriana tem na Comunicação Alternativa Aumentativa (CAA) uma das suas bandeiras profissionais. Ela utiliza essa metodologia tanto com crianças não verbais quanto com verbais não funcionais.
“A CAA, como a Libras e o Braille, é a linguagem que dá suporte à inclusão verdadeira. Sem comunicação, não há diálogo, não há escolarização, não há socialização. Eu enxerguei na CAA o único caminho possível para que crianças com TEA e outras condições sejam de fato incluídas no ambiente escolar”, explica.
Em sua atuação na região de Jericoacoara, ela enfrentou realidades desafiadoras: longos deslocamentos, ausência de estrutura nas escolas e falta de materiais básicos. Ainda assim, foi uma das responsáveis por resultados expressivos que culminaram em reformas estruturais, contratação de novos profissionais e a implantação do serviço clínico da APAE local, sendo ela a fonoaudióloga pioneira do atendimento.
Planos para 2025
Adriana também atua com mentorias, formações, oficinas e palestras para pais, professores e gestores que buscam compreender o papel da Fonoaudiologia Educacional dentro da inclusão. Seu objetivo para 2025 é expandir sua atuação nacionalmente, participando de congressos, projetos interdisciplinares e formações em todo o Brasil.
“Meu plano é justamente esse: levar conhecimento, vivência e prática da Fonoaudiologia Educacional para outras regiões do país. A inclusão real precisa da presença do fonoaudiólogo desde o planejamento escolar até o monitoramento dos resultados”, reforça.
