O Dia da Saúde e da Nutrição é comemorado no Brasil todos os anos no dia 31 de março. Essa data faz parte do calendário oficial do Ministério da Saúde e tem como objetivo conscientizar a população sobre a importância do cuidado com a saúde e de uma alimentação saudável.
Diante de uma rotina com muitas atividades, é comum as pessoas consumirem comida industrializada ou “fast food” com o intuito de economizar tempo ou pelo fato de considerarem mais prático. Porém, esse hábito pode trazer consequências para a saúde, conforme explica o coordenador de Nutrição das Unidades de Pronto Atendimento (UPAs), geridas pelo Instituto de Saúde e Gestão Hospitalar (ISGH), Mateus Cardoso.
“Quem consome esse tipo de alimento tem maiores riscos de desenvolver doenças crônicas não transmissíveis, como a diabetes e hipertensão. Além disso, pessoas que costumam ter a rotina muito agitada, não separando tempo suficiente para as refeições, têm maiores dificuldades no controle do apetite e saciedade, assim como quem se alimenta com grandes desvios de atenção como o uso de celular, televisão e até mesmo trabalho em excesso, podem ser impactados com dificuldades no controle de hormônios relacionados ao apetite e saciedade e, consequentemente, podem comer além do necessário”, alerta.
Diante de tantos compromissos e obrigações, é importante prestar atenção para não descuidar da saúde e se manter saudável. Com isso, uma alimentação balanceada é uma forte aliada nesse processo. Para as pessoas que ficam estressadas com facilidade no cotidiano, a recomendação é priorizar alimentos que possuem triptofano, um aminoácido que é precursor da serotonina e conhecido como hormônio da felicidade, que ajuda a manter o humor regularizado e proporciona sensação de bem-estar. “Entre os alimentos ricos em triptofano, podemos citar a banana, amendoim, leite, a castanha de caju, peixes e o ovo. Vale ressaltar que bons hábitos alimentares podem agir diretamente no bem-estar”, acrescenta o profissional.
Já as pessoas que costumam dormir mais tarde ou acordar muito cedo, devem consumir alimentos leves e não comer alimentos estimulantes como café, chás escuros e bebidas alcoólicas para evitar insônia e acordar com mais disposição no dia seguinte. “É preferível priorizar alimentos de fácil digestão como frutas, verduras, legumes, grãos integrais e carnes magras antes de dormir”, finaliza.
