Dezembro é o mês escolhido pela Sociedade Brasileira de Dermatologia para a campanha de conscientização sobre o câncer de pele. Dados do Instituto Nacional de Câncer (INCA) apontam que o tumor maligno mais incidente no Brasil é o de pele não melanoma (31,3% do total de casos), seguido pelo de mama feminina (10,5%), próstata (10,2%), cólon e reto (6,5%), pulmão (4,6%) e estômago (3,1%). Para a prevenção do câncer de pele, o uso de protetor solar é o principal aliado, mas você sabe como aplicar o produto corretamente para usufruir de sua potencialidade? A esteticista e coordenadora da pós-graduação em Dermoestética do Centro Universitário Fametro (Unifametro), Mirtes Alves, tira dúvidas sobre a forma correta de aplicação do produto.
De acordo com Mirtes, a proteção contra os raios solares é um dos passos mais importantes no cuidado diário com a pele. Tal proteção busca evitar as consequências da exposição ao sol como queimaduras, manchas e doenças de pele. “Além da luz natural, como raios UVA e UVB, estamos expostos diariamente à luz visível, proveniente da radiação solar e da luz das lâmpadas artificiais e aparelhos eletrônicos como computadores, celulares e tablets. Essas luzes causam efeitos nocivos a longo prazo, principalmente relacionados à pigmentação da pele”, alerta a especialista.
Ao adquirir um fotoprotetor, segundo Mirtes, é muito importante estar atento ao rótulo, sobretudo ao Fator de Proteção Solar (FPS) e se está sinalizado que o produto protege contra a radiação UVB e UVA. Outra dica é apostar nos protetores com cor. “Um protetor com pigmento protege da luz visível, e os com vitamina C ajudam a sequestrar os radicais livres gerados pela radiação. Protetor com princípios ativos anti poluição também são um diferencial como preventivo contra os radicais livres”, explica a esteticista.
