Com o tema “Co-produção – cases e oportunidades no cinema brasileiro”, aula aberta com Mariá Velasquez é fruto da parceria do Laboratório de Cinema da Escola Porto Iracema das Artes (Lab Cena 15), a Deberton Filmes e a Paramount Pictures. O encontro acontece na quarta-feira, dia 8 de maio, de 10h às 12h

 

Bússola é uma ação da Escola Porto Iracema das Artes – Equipamento da Rede Pública de Equipamentos Culturais da Secretaria da Cultura do Ceará (Secult Ceará), gerido pelo Instituto Dragão do Mar (IDM) – que visa promover encontros para discutir os rumos do audiovisual no Brasil e no Ceará a partir da produção, considerando as políticas públicas, a iniciativa privada e outras organizações do setor.

 

A ideia é criar um espaço de reflexão e troca com produtores e profissionais do cinema e televisão sobre as necessidades da área, os mecanismos de acesso e estratégias para a viabilização de projetos audiovisuais, sempre em diálogo com as práticas atuais do mercado. Assim como uma bússola, que nos dá um norte e orienta, a intenção é compreender o campo com mais profundidade para saber, não apenas como atuar e transitar por ele, mas também como gerar as tensões necessárias para transformá-lo.

 

Para esta ação, o Bússola recebe a gerente de filmes nacionais da Paramount Pictures Brasil, Mariá Velasquez, cargo que ocupa desde 2013, onde foi responsável pela coprodução/aquisição de mais de 50 longas-metragens, com destaque para “Minha Mãe é Uma Peça 2 e 3”, “Loucas pra Casar”,  “Turma da Mônica – Laços e Lições” e “Minha Irmã e Eu”. Enquanto assessora do vice-presidente da empresa, atuou, também, na aquisição de diversos filmes nacionais com destaque para “Tropa de Elite”, “Homem do Futuro” e dos documentários “Vinícius” e “Raul Seixas”.

MAIS SOBRE MARIÁ VELASQUEZ

Gerente de Filmes Nacionais da Paramount Pictures Brasil desde janeiro de 2013, onde foi responsável pela coprodução/aquisição de  mais de 50 longas-metragens com destaque para “Minha Mãe é Uma Peça 2 e 3”, “Loucas pra Casar”,  “Turma da Mônica – Laços e Lições” e “Minha Irmã e Eu”. Ingressou na indústria do audiovisual em 1997 na Motion Pictures Association (MPA) e ajudou a coordenar o primeiro concurso de roteiros brasileiros da MPA, onde o roteiro do longa “Cidade de Deus” ganhou seu primeiro prêmio. Ainda na MPA, coordenou uma série de encontros de roteiristas brasileiros com o professor Syd Field. De 1999 a 2011 trabalhou na United Internacional Pictures (UIP) e Paramount Pictures International América Latina, auxiliando o então Vice-Presidente nas aquisições de filmes brasileiros para distribuição em cinema, como ‘‘Tropa de Elite’’ e “Homem do Futuro”. Participa de diversas Rodadas de Negócios e Pitchings como a Rio2C, Rio Market, Expocine, Cine Pitching, NordesteLAB, FAM, MAX SEBRAE e FRAPA. Desde 2019 é consultora do Selo Elas, projeto que busca potencializar resultados e fomentar o equilíbrio de filmes realizados por mulheres. É formada em Literatura Brasileira pela UERJ com pós-graduação em Marketing Cultural.

 

SOBRE O LAB CENA 15 – LABORATÓRIO DE CINEMA DA PORTO IRACEMA DAS ARTES

O Laboratório CENA 15 tem como objetivo geral contribuir com o desenvolvimento do campo audiovisual regional, favorecendo a qualificação profissional de roteiristas, através de um intenso programa de formação prático e conceitual, com ênfase no desenvolvimento da escrita dramatúrgica de projetos de longa-metragem e séries de ficção para televisão. Com prioridade para projetos do Ceará e das regiões Norte e Nordeste do país, o programa prevê um processo imersivo de sete meses, que inclui tutorias, oficinas, aulas abertas e outras atividades formativas. Os participantes do programa recebem uma bolsa de estudos durante todo o período de formação.

 

LAB CENA 15 – Cinema: Idealizado em 2013 pelo cineasta cearense Karim Ainouz, ao lado dos também cineastas Marcelo Gomes e Sérgio Machado, o Lab Cena 15 – Cinema seleciona, a cada edição, 6 (seis) projetos de longa-metragem de ficção para serem desenvolvidos desde a ideia inicial até a primeira versão do roteiro, ao longo de 7 (sete) meses, sob tutorias de profissionais de roteiro. Atualmente, Karim Ainouz ocupa a função de Mentor do LAb Cena 15, inspirando as novas gerações de roteiristas em formação.

 

LAB CENA 15 – Série de Ficção: iniciado em 2022, seleciona, a cada edição, 01 (um) projeto de obra seriada de ficção para TV por edição para ser desenvolvido ao longo de 7 (sete) meses em uma dinâmica de sala de roteiro, composta por três roteiristas cearenses, sob a orientação de consultorias semanais. A entrega final do processo de formação é a bíblia do projeto e o roteiro do primeiro episódio da série.

 

SOBRE A ESCOLA DE ARTES PORTO IRACEMA DAS ARTES

A Porto Iracema das Artes é a escola de formação e criação em artes do Governo do Estado do Ceará, instituição da Secretaria da Cultura (Secult) gerida em parceria com o Instituto Dragão do Mar (IDM). Criada em 29 de agosto de 2013, há 10 anos desenvolve processos formativos nas áreas de Música, Dança, Artes Visuais, Cinema e Teatro, com a oferta de Cursos Básicos e Técnicos, além de Laboratórios de Criação.
