Como é tradição, as boas-vindas para quem chega a Guaramiranga, cidade serrana do Ceará, para o Festival Jazz & Blues, que acontece tradicionalmente no período do Carnaval, é com a Blitz Ecológica no sábado de manhã, na entrada da cidade. A ação é uma parceria da Secretaria Estadual de Meio Ambiente do Ceará (SEMA) com o Festival, que de 18 a 21 de fevereiro de 2023 chega à 24ª edição. Além de informações sobre o Festival Jazz & Blues, os motoristas são recebidos com mudas de plantas nativas e orientações para o descarte correto do lixo. A Blitz Ecológica será a partir das 8h.
Distante cerca de 100 Km da capital Fortaleza, Guaramiranga localiza-se em uma área preservada de Mata Atlântica, inserida na Área de Proteção Ambiental (APA) da Serra de Baturité. Esta é a primeira Unidade de Conservação, sendo a mais extensa APA criada pelo Governo do Estado do Ceará.
Outras ações ambientais também são realizadas no período. Este ano, no domingo, haverá Observação de Pássaros e Trilhas Ecológicas, com saída às 7h30, do Sítio Campo do Batalha, sede do REVIS Periquito Cara Suja, que é o Posto Avançado do Batalhão da Polícia Militar Ambiental (BPMA), localizado a cerca de 3 km do Centro de Guaramiranga. A trilha tem percurso de 1 km. Para participar, é recomendado o uso de roupas e tênis adequados para atividades físicas.

Shows, bate-papos e oficinas vão marcar a programação do 24º Festival Jazz & Blues, que acontecerá de 18 a 21 de fevereiro em Guaramiranga, Ceará. São 21 atividades no total, sendo 15 shows, 3 oficinas e 3 bate-papos “Café no Tom” com artistas convidados. Mais de 70% das atividades têm acesso gratuito. Os shows das 17h e das 21h acontecem na Cidade Jazz & Blues, estrutura erguida pelo festival, a 550 metros da Praça do Teatro Rachel de Queiroz, no Centro da cidade. Somente a sessão de shows das 21 horas tem venda de ingresso (R$ 40 inteira / R$ 20 meia), válido para os dois shows da sessão. Os ingressos estão à venda no site Bilheteria Virtual. O restante da programação tem acesso gratuito.
Shows de 18 a 20 (sábado a segunda-feira) na sessão das 17h: No dia 18, cantora Lorena Nunes (show “Embarcação”) e violonista Cainã Cavalcante (show “Sinal dos Tempos – Cainã toca Garoto”); no dia 19, Mulheres do Blues (show “Blues Ontem, Hoje, Sempre!”) e Makem (show “Vozes”); e no dia 20, baterista Robertinho Marçal e show do dueto de jazz formado por Vanessa Moreno e Salomão Soares (“Yatra-Tá”).
Shows de 18 a 20 (sábado a segunda-feira) na sessão das 21h: No dia 18, grupo Marimbanda (show em homenagem a Luizinho Duarte) e Ednardo (show com repertório de “50 anos de Sarau Vox 72”); no dia 19, Joabe Reis e banda (lançou em 2020 seu primeiro disco autoral, “Crew in Church”) e duo de Gabriel Grossi e Arismar do Espírito Santo (show “Zabumbaixo & Fole de Boca”); no dia 20, cantora Djeli Tapa, Mali, residente no Canadá (show “Barokan”) e Silvero Pereira (show “Silvero interpreta Belchior”).
Shows no dia 21 (terça-feira) – Matinal nas Igrejas: Às 9h, na Igreja da Gruta (Pousada dos Capuchinhos), duo formado por Miqueias dos Santos e Stênio Gonçalves (show “Café pra dois” – baixo e guitarra); às 11h, na Igreja Matriz, duo de Nonato Lima e Pedro Façanha (show de música brasileira, tango, jazz – acordeon e baixo). As igrejas localizam-se, respectivamente a 600m e a 450m da Praça do Teatro Rachel de Queiroz. Na Praça do Teatro Rachel de Queiroz: Às 10h, grupo Dona Zefinha (show “O circo sem teto da lona furada dos bufões”).
