“A falta de água no organismo pode causar infecção do trato urinário, constipação, desorientação e dificuldade de cicatrização. No caso dos idosos acamados, o risco é ainda maior. Por isso, o ideal é beber, pelo menos, 2 litros de água por dia”, explica a nutricionista Bárbara Monteiro.
A ingestão de sucos e outras bebidas saudáveis também é uma aliada na dieta. Durante a dinâmica, as profissionais ofereceram água saborizada com limão, laranja e morango sem açúcar para degustação. “É uma estratégia para melhorar a oferta hídrica diária, principalmente quando se trata do público idoso, por este possuir maior dificuldade em realizar a ingestão adequada. Sucos, leite, chás e frutas ricas em água não substituem o consumo da água pura”, orienta Kelly Sales, também nutricionista da CCC.
A água saborizada com morango e limão possui ação anti-inflamatória, diurética e antioxidante. A bebida também pode ser preparada com outros ingredientes. “A combinação de limão, hortelã, pepino e água, por exemplo, tem ação diurética e digestiva. Já para fortalecer o sistema imunológico, pode-se utilizar a laranja. Se adicionar gengibre, também tem ação termogênica. O importante é manter o corpo hidratado”, afirma Monteiro.
