A Prefeitura de Fortaleza realiza, por meio da Coordenadoria de Relações Internacionais e Federativas(Cerif), a quarta edição do Seminário Internacional de Políticas Públicas Inovadoras para Cidades, de 04 a 06 de março, no Centro de Eventos do Ceará.
O evento, vinculado integralmente à Agenda 2030 da Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU) e seus 17 Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS), reúne especialistas e líderes políticos nacionais e internacionais para o debate de políticas públicas que transformaram cidades. Para 2020, foram convidados GilPeñalosa, fundador e presidente do conselho da organização sem fins lucrativos canadense 8 80 Cities, e Sharon Lynn Kagan, professora de Políticas da Primeira Infância e Família da universidade de Columbia (EUA). Durante os três dias, a expectativa do público participante é de mil pessoas ao dia. Serão apresentados painéis temáticos, entre eles: Educação, Saúde, Protagonismo Juvenil e Primeira Infância.
O Seminário Internacional de Políticas Públicas para Cidades segue uma política de responsabilidade ambiental desde sua primeira edição, em 2017, com a ação de neutralização de carbono, além da utilização de copos ecológicos, papéis recicláveis e ecobags.
