Há dezesseis anos, o Festival Popular de Teatro de Fortaleza cultiva uma sinergia rara entre as pessoas e a cidade. Entre o prisma e o poste, entre iluminar e colorir, ele surge novamente para transformar ruas, praças e terminais em cena viva. A Companhia Prisma de Artes anuncia agora a abertura da convocatória para a seleção dos espetáculos que integrarão a 16ª edição do FEPTEF, um festival que pulsa alegria, transborda arte e faz da cidade inteira um grande palco.
A convocatória fica aberta de 1º a 31 de julho de 2026 e nasce com a ambição de reunir o que há de mais potente no teatro brasileiro. Serão selecionados vinte e cinco grupos de todo o país, com atenção especial às produções do Nordeste, em um chamamento aberto a companhias e coletivos teatrais, com ou sem fins lucrativos. As inscrições são gratuitas e podem ser feitas por meio de formulário disponível nas redes sociais do festival, sendo acolhidas as propostas inéditas nas últimas edições.
Realizado de 11 a 23 de novembro de 2026, o FEPTEF dedica a primeira semana, de 11 a 18, às oficinas de formação, e a segunda, de 19 a 23, às apresentações. Ao todo, serão trinta apresentações, oito formações e o lançamento das publicações da Prisma e do próprio festival, em uma programação inteiramente gratuita e espalhada por diversos pontos da capital.
“Mais uma vez nos aproximamos do Festival Popular de Teatro, um evento que preenche as ruas com arte e transforma a cidade em um grande palco. O teatro é uma das formas mais autênticas da arte, uma troca instantânea entre a plateia, o artista e a narrativa, em que cada olhar e cada reação completam o que nasce da criatividade de quem cria. Com o festival chegando à sua décima sexta edição, já consolidado na cena cultural, é um orgulho imenso estar inserido no calendário cultural de Fortaleza. Sabemos que sempre recebemos propostas incríveis na convocatória e tenho certeza de que este ano não será diferente”, avalia Raimundo Moreira, coordenador geral do festival.
A força do FEPTEF reside em sua vocação descentralizadora. A programação ocupa terminais rodoviários, escolas, praças e espaços culturais de diferentes regionais, levando o teatro a quem nem sempre o alcança. Nesta edição, o festival se organiza em cinco mostras, Arte Inclusiva, Terminais, Comunidade, Para as Infâncias e Pavio, cada uma com um olhar próprio sobre a cidade e sobre as muitas formas de fazer e viver o teatro.
Entre os espaços contemplados estão os terminais rodoviários do Siqueira, da Parangaba, do Papicu, de Messejana e do Antônio Bezerra, além do Espaço Popular de Artes, da Casa Absurda, da Casa da Esquina e da sede do Nóis de Teatro. As comunidades também recebem o festival, em escolas e praças de diferentes regionais, reafirmando a proposta de uma cidade vista e iluminada por um novo prisma.
Entre os destaques desta edição estão duas mostras de forte caráter afetivo e social. A Mostra Arte Inclusiva celebra a potência cênica de artistas com deficiência, reafirmando o palco como espaço de todos os corpos e de todas as formas de expressão. Já a Mostra Para as Infâncias dedicam-se ao público infantil, com espetáculos pensados para encantar os pequenos e aproximar as novas gerações da magia do teatro.
Os grupos selecionados serão definidos por uma comissão formada por profissionais renomados da área e se apresentarão em formato presencial, em um encontro pensado para estimular o intercâmbio cultural e aproximar artistas e público.
O FEPTEF integra a Política Nacional Aldir Blanc, é uma realização da Companhia Prisma de Artes e do Governo do Brasil, por meio do Ministério da Cultura (MinC), com apoio do Governo do Ceará, por meio da Secretaria da Cultura (Secult Ceará).
