Um dos projetos culturais mais longevos do Ceará, que se posiciona entre os maiores do segmento no país, terá em 2025 uma edição especial que cruza oceanos e elastece a sua programação ao longo do ano. Lançada há 28 anos, em outubro de 1997, a Bienal Internacional de Dança do Ceará chega à 15ª edição, com um histórico de ações anuais nos campos da difusão, da criação e da formação.
Nesta edição comemorativa, o evento reafirma o seu caráter global e multicultural aportando em cidades de três continentes, África, Europa e América do Sul, entre 03 de maio e 1º de novembro. Apresentada pelo Ministério da Cultura, Governo do Estado do Ceará, Enel Distribuição Ceará e Petrobras, por meio do programa Petrobras Cultural, a XV Bienal Internacional de Dança do Ceará começa com a Estação Cabo Verde, de 03 a 10 de maio, segue com a Estação Portugal, de 11 a 14 de maio e, no segundo semestre, acontece a Estação França, entre 19 e 27 de setembro, e a Estação Brasil, com abertura em 24 de outubro, mês tradicional de sua realização, e encerramento no dia 1º de novembro.
A Bienal de Dança do Ceará é um espaço de encontro e diálogo de estéticas contemporâneas e também de intercâmbio artístico para artistas consagrados, mas também para jovens artistas dos mais diversos territórios, das periferias aos grandes centros de produção cultural, do Brasil e do exterior.
A XV Bienal Internacional de Dança do Ceará é uma realização da Indústria da Dança do Ceará e da Proarte – Associação dos Produtores de Artes do Ceará, junto ao Ministério da Cultura e Governo Federal do Brasil, com correalização de Chaillot – Teatro Nacional da Dança; Governo da França; Instituto Francês; Instituto Guimarães Rosa; e Ministério das Relações Exteriores. Patrocínio: Petrobras, via Lei Federal de Incentivo à Cultura. Apoio Institucional: Secretaria da Cultura do Ceará por meio da Lei Estadual de Incentivo à Cultura (Mecenato). RELAÇÕES BILATERAIS ENTRE BRASIL E FRANÇA
Em 2025, celebra-se a diplomacia cultural entre Brasil e França, marcando 200 anos de relações bilaterais e reafirmando quase três décadas de diálogos entre o Ceará e a cena coreográfica francesa. Ano do Brasil na França e o Ano da França no Brasil, este será um grande intercâmbio cultural que promete movimentar os dois países com muita arte, dança, música, gastronomia, literatura e muito mais.
Destaque nessa celebração, a Bienal Internacional de Dança do Ceará foi escolhida para representar as artes cênicas brasileiras na França e, ao mesmo tempo, receber artistas franceses e africanos no Brasil. O evento conta com o selo Temporada Cruzada França-Brasil 2025, um reconhecimento do Governo da França, do Brasil e do Ceará, além do apoio de instituições como o Instituto Guimarães Rosa, Instituto Francês e Consulado Geral da França em Recife para o Nordeste.
CONEXÕES ARTÍSTICAS INTERNACIONAIS – CAIS
Nesta edição, a Bienal realiza um projeto inovador que transcende fronteiras, o “Conexões Artísticas Internacionais – CAIS”. Este projeto faz parte da Temporada Cruzada França-Brasil e simboliza um marco na cooperação cultural entre os dois países, inspirado no conceito de cooperação triangular promovido pela ONU. Entre as ações há trocas artísticas e remontagens, exposições, eventos musicais, difusão internacional de obras coreográficas e shows musicais, parcerias e envolvimento de festivais.
O CAIS inclui a remontagem e apresentação de duas obras de grande sucesso de público e crítica. Uma delas é “Saison Sèche”, da renomada coreógrafa francesa Phia Ménard, adaptada para sete bailarinas brasileiras. A outra é “Nosso Baile!”, do goiano Henrique Rodovalho, um dos mais reverenciados coreógrafos brasileiros. Esta obra, cujo processo de montagem acontecerá em julho em Fortaleza, contará com elenco de 14 bailarinos brasileiros e estreia em setembro de 2025, no Chaillot Théâtre national de la Danse, um dos principais palcos da dança na França e parceiro da Bienal nesta ação.
Fruto de uma iniciativa da XV Bienal Internacional de Dança do Ceará com o Théâtre de Chaillot, como principal parceiro, o CAIS também conta com a colaboração de vários festivais brasileiros. Dentre eles, estão o Festival de Dança de Itacaré, o Festival JUNTA de Teresina, o Festival FETEAG de Caruaru e a Oficina Francisco Brennand em Recife.
Nos países que recebem esta edição, a Bienal tem como parceiro, além do Théâtre de Chaillot, o Festival Kontornu, de Cabo Verde.
