As Unidades de Pronto Atendimento (UPAs) são voltadas para atendimento de serviços de urgência e emergência, que envolvem classificação de risco, atendimento médico adulto e infantil, raio-x, eletrocardiografia, exames laboratoriais, medicação e leitos de observação. Quando há necessidade de se realizar algum exame, é preciso prestar atenção nos casos em que se deve procurar uma UPA.
“Pelo fato de ser um perfil de emergência, são ofertados apenas os exames que são necessários para um diagnóstico preciso e com rapidez. Os exames que são mais demandados, em média, são aqueles que servirão para um diagnóstico mais precoce percorrendo sempre o perfil de urgência, como por exemplo, exames de perfil hematológico, perfil renal, perfil gasoso, entre outros. Sendo assim, não são realizados exames de rotina, pois estes são feitos em postos de saúde”, explica Odilon Roriz, coordenador de laboratório das UPAs geridas pelo Governo do Ceará.
O exame é realizado na UPA quando o paciente passa por atendimento na recepção, classificação de risco e atendimento médico, desde que haja solicitação do profissional de saúde. “Qualquer paciente que precisar do atendimento e um diagnóstico laboratorial nas UPAs será atendido, desde que o perfil dos exames seja para urgência. Os pacientes que atendemos chegam a qualquer hora do dia, portanto, não é necessário fazer jejum, o que é uma dúvida comum”, esclarece o gestor.
Os resultados dos exames de laboratório são recebidos no mesmo dia, em média, de 3 a 4 horas depois da solicitação médica. “Para alguns exames, é necessário um tempo maior de análise, que geralmente é, em média, de 1 a 2 horas. Após a coleta, os exames são enviados ao laboratório parceiro, de acordo com os horários de envio, que ocorrem de 2 em 2 horas. Depois de todo o ciclo que envolve atendimento na recepção, classificação, atendimento médico e coleta, o exame é enviado ao laboratório para análise e laudo, e assim o resultado é liberado”, informa.
Exames de raio-x também são realizados nas UPAs
Assim como os exames de laboratório, os raios-x também são realizados nas Unidades de Pronto Atendimento quando são considerados de urgência ou emergência e mediante solicitação médica. Porém, é preciso ter atenção em alguns casos. “Qualquer indivíduo pode ser submetido a esses exames, quando estritamente necessário para a contribuição no diagnóstico médico. Vale ressaltar que menores de 18 anos sempre devem estar acompanhados por um responsável no momento da realização do exame, e ele deve também ser evitado em gestantes”, informa Leandro Correia, técnico de radiologia das UPAs.
A partir de uma avaliação clínica, é definida a estrutura do corpo do paciente a ser radiografada, bem como a posição do corpo. Todos os profissionais que atuam no serviço de raio-x são habilitados com registro em conselho de classe e seguem fluxos e normas de segurança, como uso de Equipamento de Proteção Individual (EPI) e otimização das doses de radiação aplicadas. O resultado dos exames de é disponibilizado de forma imediata, via sistema, para avaliação médica nos consultórios das UPAs.
