Com o tema “Reabilitar, Refaunar e Conservar – Ações do presente para o futuro”, Beach Park realiza nova edição da Jornada Sustentável
Juntos por um mundo mais sustentável: de 4 a 8 de novembro, o Beach Park realiza a quarta edição da Jornada Sustentável. Este movimento de ação social tem como foco a educação ambiental. As atividades acontecem no município de Aquiraz, na região metropolitana de Fortaleza, onde o Beach Park está localizado, e na Reserva Natural Serra das Almas (RNSA), em Crateús, a aproximadamente 400 km da capital cearense. O evento é restrito a convidados, incluindo autoridades, parceiros e especialistas em meio ambiente.
A Jornada Sustentável inicia nesta segunda-feira (4) com uma visita exclusiva ao Arvorar, o novo parque do Beach Park que, em breve, será inaugurado para o público em Aquiraz. Dedicado à educação ambiental, pesquisa e conservação da biodiversidade brasileira, o Arvorar oferecerá aos convidados da Jornada uma imersão no projeto “Refauna Arvorar”. Realizado em parceria com as ONGs Associação Caatinga e Associação de Pesquisa e Preservação de Ecossistemas Aquáticos (Aquasis), o projeto visa o repovoamento de aves nativas do Ceará que estão ameaçadas de extinção.
Na terça-feira (5), a programação continua no “Azul do Mar”, espaço de eventos do Beach Park, com uma série de palestras e painéis sobre o tema “Reabilitar, Refaunar e Conservar – Ações do Presente para o Futuro”, que terão palestrantes nacionais que são referências em suas áreas de atuação. A abertura contará com uma apresentação do projeto Refauna Arvorar, realizada por representantes do Arvorar e das ONGs Aquasis e Associação Caatinga. Em seguida, o primeiro painel, ministrado por Camila Martins, da Em Prática Consultoria em Educação para Conservação (SP), e Romana Aguiar, coordenadora de Educação Ambiental do Parque Arvorar (CE), abordará o tema “Educação para a Conservação”.
Logo após, será realizada a palestra magna com Neiva Guedes, presidente do Instituto Arara Azul (MG), que compartilhará sua experiência em conservação. A programação continua com o painel “Reabilitação de Animais Silvestres”, que contará com a presidente do Instituto Fauna Brasil (SC), Vanessa Kanaa, e Fábio Nunes e Weber Girão, da ONG Aquasis (CE). Para encerrar, Marcelo Rheingantz, diretor executivo do Refauna Brasil (RJ), fará a segunda palestra magna do evento com o tema “Preenchendo com vida florestas vazias”.
Durante a manhã dos painéis e palestras, será ainda lançado o Edital Arvorar, que visa financiar projetos que tenham foco em reabilitação de fauna silvestre no estado do Ceará.
Entre os dias 6, 7 e 8, a Jornada Sustentável pega a estrada e vai até Crateús. Os convidados passarão três dias na Reserva Natural Serra das Almas, considerada a maior Reserva Particular do Patrimônio Natural do Ceará. No local, gerido pela Associação Caatinga, eles irão conhecer mais uma etapa do Projeto Refauna Arvorar, o local onde algumas espécies contempladas pelo projeto serão reintroduzidas em seu habitat natural, além de participar de diversas outras atividades voltadas para a repovoamento de fauna e preservação de espécies ameaçadas.
Também irão participar de uma roda de conversa sobre o projeto de conservação do Periquito Cara-suja e projeto Refauna e de uma edição especial do “Passarinhar Serra das Almas”, uma caminhada especial de observação de aves, que proporciona uma verdadeira imersão na biodiversidade da região.
A relação do Beach Park com a Reserva Natural Serra das Almas já é antiga. Há três anos, o Beach Park inventaria e compensa suas emissões de carbono. E no ano passado, o Grupo recebeu o Selo ‘Protetor da Serra das Almas – categoria Onça Parda’, da Associação Caatinga, por compensar suas emissões por meio da adoção de 20 hectares na Reserva Natural Serra das Almas.
O encerramento será realizado na sexta-feira (8), com uma ação educativa voltada para os estudantes das escolas públicas do Porto das Dunas, Aquiraz. Eles irão até o Pátio de Compostagem do Beach Park para conhecer o projeto Mãos à Horta. Crianças e jovens terão a oportunidade de aprender sobre cultivo orgânico, compostagem, reciclagem e a importância de uma alimentação saudável e sustentável. As atividades não apenas promovem a educação ambiental, mas também fortalecem a cooperação e a responsabilidade social entre os alunos.
