Caixa Cultural Fortaleza apresenta exposição interativa “viajando com tapetes contadores”

Temporada terá exposição e apresentações artísticas gratuitas a partir de 21 de março

A CAIXA Cultural Fortaleza recebe, no período de 21 de março a 21 de abril de 2024, a exposição interativa Viajando com Tapetes Contadores, do grupo Os Tapetes Contadores de Histórias. O coletivo tem 25 anos de carreira e desenvolve um projeto singular de transposição do livro para a artesania têxtil, sendo o primeiro coletivo nacional a promover exposições interativas dentro de galerias de arte. A visitação é gratuita.

A mostra conta com narrativas costuradas e bordadas à mão pelo próprio grupo, em coloridos bonecos, vestimentas, tapetes, caixas, paineis e livros que ganham vida na voz e interpretação dos integrantes do coletivo. São 60 obras criadas no Brasil, França e Peru e servem de cenários para histórias do mundo inteiro. Parte delas poderão ser visitadas e assistidas nas contações de histórias, cuja visitação será mediada e incentiva as crianças na experiência lúdica da leitura e da descoberta.

Entre os textos interpretados estão contos brasileiros, latino-americanos, africanos e de tradição europeia. Dentre os autores brasileiros que têm seus textos transpostos em cenários e personagens estão Ana Maria Machado, Ricardo Azevedo, Graciliano Ramos e Carlos Drummond de Andrade. De outras nacionalidades, serão apresentados os livros de pano do peruano Manos que Cuentan e os tapetes do projeto francês Raconte-Tapis. Ao lado de cada obra, vai estar exposto o livro correspondente.

Os Tapetes Contadores de Histórias vão apresentar novos cenários e contos lançados durante a temporada realizada em janeiro deste ano na CAIXA Cultural Brasília, como pranchas para ilustrar um mito diluviano do povo indígena Yekuana, etnia do noroeste de Roraima; um poncho e um pergaminho, para narrar mitos gregos; e um grande bolo de aniversário, para um conto popular norte-americano.

O programa conta também com contação de histórias e com a oficina Ateliê de Histórias para contadores.

O Grupo Os Tapetes Contadores de Histórias

O grupo tem têm uma proposta artística diferenciada e são referência internacional na arte de contar histórias e criação de cenários têxteis e como pesquisadores sobre as intersecções entre texto e têxtil. Também é o grupo de narradores que mais representou o Brasil no exterior, atuando em 16 países, onde compartilhou histórias em inglês, francês, espanhol e português.

Em 2003, realizaram a primeira exposição de seu acervo no ainda chamado Conjunto Cultural da CAIXA, em Brasília e no Rio de Janeiro. Desde então, promoveram 34 exposições interativas nas unidades da CAIXA Cultural de todo país.

Em 2016, o coletivo ganhou os prêmios de Melhor Espetáculo e Melhor Cenário no Zilka Salaberry e Selo de Espetáculo Recomendado pelo CEPETIN, com a peça SHTIM SHLIM. Em 2018, Os Tapetes Contadores receberam o Prêmio Baobá, a mais importante premiação nacional para os fortalecedores da arte narrativa. Em 2022, o grupo foi pela primeira vez para a Amazônia, realizando exposições interativas de seu acervo em comunidades indígenas e centros culturais.
